Why do christians think life without god is hell?

I think life with “god” is hell , I was always being punish by my parents for doing normal things. I was forced to go to church and sing and waste alot of my life in a compact building full of mexicans. I wasn’t even able to think for myself, only had the option of going by the bible. Why do christians think people can’t derive morals and ethnics from life? If the bible said it was okay to kill people, who you start running around stabbing people in the neck?

I’m sorry that your experience left you so bitter. God never wanted that for you, or for anyone. You were obviously not taught about the loving God who gave the ultimate sacrifice, just so he could be with us, his beloved children, forever.

I don’t believe that non-Christians don’t have their own morals, but if they do not match God’s then they are not right. Remember, we can’t see the big picture – we are only 1 piece in a currently 6 billion piece puzzle. You can only see the other pieces around you, but only God sees them all and how they all fit together.

That became my favorite verse after someone tried to kill me at the age of 16. I helplessly watched someone else, a Reverend’s son, bleed to death from his wound. But God is the ultimate comforter. Through him, you can achieve great peace and eternal happiness. I encourage you to try another church that is more loving.
